Who is Empire State Fight League?
ESFL (Empire State Fight League) was founded in 2024. Professional wrestler Saidie Sharpe was offered the opportunity to purchase the remains of a small independent wrestling promotion operating out of New York City. Saidie saw three things when presented with this opportunity; the chance to carve something out for herself, the chance to step out of the shadow of her famous wrestling uncle, and a good business deal. With that, she picked up the pieces of what was left and decided to begin to build her empire. Thus, Empire State Fight League was born. The first thing this new company president needed to do was bring in someone she trusts - cue her former manager from when she stepped between the ropes, Faith Rivers. A former champion herself, Faith would bring the knowledge and discipline needed to balance out Saidie and guide them both to pro wrestling success!
Their first step was to find a home for ESFL, and their search led them to Carnesecca Arena in Queens, which is also the home of the St. John University Women's Red Storm basketball team. A huge fan of women's sports, the arena seemed like the perfect place for Saidie & Faith to house their new wrestling endeavor. The arena can host a capacity crowd of up to 5,000 ... IF they can find some talent to bring in those fans!
Their weekly Monday night show, Boiling Point, will stream live on YouTube in hopes to bring in viewers online and in-person alike as their gear up for a debut in late 2024. The next step is finding the hidden gems of professional wrestling to put in front of those fans for all to see. So whether you're thinking about trying to join the wrestling world for the first time, or if you're a veteran looking to find a new place for some championship glory, or if you're anywhere else in between ... just ask yourself .. are you ready to join The League?
